Torakan Karate Dojo is a karate club operated by Joe Sweetman (4th dan) that caters for black belts and senior shotokan karate-ka.

The club is affiliated to the Irish Shotokan Institute which is part of Masao Kawasoe Sensei’s JKA (Japan Karate Association) Group.

Other members of the Irish Shotokan Institute include DCU Karate Club, UCD Karate Club and Tanden Karate Club.

Training currently takes place on Thursday evenings at 8pm in the Markievicz Leisure Centre, Townsend Street, Dublin 2.
